The new visa policies for the UAE are effective as of today,
Monday, October 3.
Longer visit visas for tourists, long-term residency for
highly sought-after professionals, and simple access to the 10-year golden visa
initiative are a few of the significant changes that were approved by the
Cabinet in April.
Holders of golden visas who remain abroad will not have
their authorizations revoked.
A six-month grace period will be given to those who cancel
their residency visas so they can remain in the nation. Before, people could
stay for just one month.
What are the updated visa policies?
One of the most significant changes to the nation's
immigration policy in recent years is the visa changes.
The new visas include a standard 60-day entry permit
(instead of the current 30 days) and a five-year, multiple-entry tourist visa
that permits visitors to stay in the country for up to 90 consecutive days.
A job exploration entry visa for degree holders that doesn't
require a sponsor or host is also being introduced by the UAE. These five-year
green visas are intended for skilled workers, independent contractors, and the
self-employed.
Male children can now be sponsored by their parents until
the age of 25, allowing them to continue living in the UAE after graduating
from high school and college.
Is the golden visa initiative changing?
The golden visa initiative will also be expanded, making it
simpler for skilled workers earning Dh30,000 ($8,100) or more per month to
obtain a 10-year visa.
The new version of the UAE passport was also unveiled last
month by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports
Security. Passport holders can apply for a new passport through the ICP's
website, mobile app, or the nation's embassies and consulates.
A polycarbonate data page made using intricate spectrum patterns is one of the new passport's improved security features.
The most significant changes to visa and entry regulations
have taken effect in the UAE. The new visa reforms are now live on the system,
according to typing center agents. Abdul Gafoor, general manager of Al Mas
Businessmen Service, said, "We are able to access and submit requests for
the new green visas as well as the multiple entry visas in Dubai.
According to a statement released by the Federal Authority
for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) earlier this month,
the significant changes, known as the Advanced Visa System, are set to take
effect as of today, October 3.
Numerous residency types are included in the Advanced Visa
System. The Green Visa for Investors, which allows a person to sponsor their
family for five years as opposed to the current system's two years, has proven
to be one of its most alluring features. It applies to a variety of people,
including skilled workers, independent contractors, and freelancers.
According to Abdul Gafoor, "We have received a number
of inquiries, particularly for the Green Visa." We hope to begin
submitting applications for some of our clients either today or tomorrow.
The criteria for obtaining the coveted Golden Visa have also
been lowered, making it possible for scientists, business owners, exceptionally
gifted individuals, front-line heroes, top students, and investors who have
invested in property worth more than Dh2 million to qualify.
Additionally, under the new regulations, parents may sponsor
their sons up to the age of 25. Sons could previously only be sponsored up
until the age of 18. Daughters who aren't married can be sponsored for as long
as they want, and kids with disabilities get a special permit.
The visit visa permits have also undergone a number of
changes. The new visas allow for a stay of 60 days as opposed to the previous
30 days. A five-year, multiple-entry tourist visa that doesn't require a
sponsor has also been introduced. This will enable visitors to stay in the UAE
for a total of 90 days if they have a bank balance of $4,000.
