What are Raid Shadow Legends Masteries?
Masteries are upgrades for your champion to boost their
overall effectiveness, like damage, support abilities, tankiness, accuracy and
more. If you've played other similar games, you must be aware of the term
"Talent Tree". Masteries are similar to that.
You choose a path on this talent tree and follow it until
you reach the desired upgrade. There are three types of Raid Shadow Legends
Masteries, and you can only have 2 active trees at a time.
Types of Raid Shadow Legends Masteries
There are 3 types of Masteries in Raid: Offense, Defense and
Support. Each tree has 6 tiers and 22 masteries in it.
Offense Masteries: These masteries upgrade your champion's
damage and upgrade mechanics like critical rate, critical damage, increased
overall damage, etc.
One of the most popular offensive mastery is called the Warmaster,
which gives you a 60% chance to deal more bonus damage while attacking.
Defense Masteries: As the name suggests, these masteries
increase your overall defense by upgrading your resistance, damage taken,
ability to remove debuffs, etc. Iron Skin, Bulwark, Fearsome Presence and Unshakeable
are tier 6 defense masteries.
Support Masteries: Finally, we have support masteries that
improve your healing abilities, accuracy, increased speed, shield, etc. One of
the most popular tier 6 support mastery is called the Eagle Eye, which
increases your accuracy by +50, allowing you to land more debuffs frequently.
Another popular one is a tier 5 support mastery called Master
Hexer that gives you a 30% chance to extend the duration of any debuffs you
cast.
Conclusion and a few tips and tricks
As mentioned earlier, you can only have two active trees at
a time, for example, offense & support or defense & support or offense
& defense.
Since you have to connect your masteries while progressing
through the tree, be aware of what mastery you're going for. It is recommended
to plan the path beforehand.
You can only have one active tier 6 mastery from either of
your talent trees. Mostly, players either go for offense or support tier 6
mastery, but it changes from champion to champion.
You can farm the Minotaur's Dungeon to gain masteries
scrolls. Once you have at least 2 fully maxed-out champions, this process gets
easier.
You have the option to reset your masteries once for free.
Every other reset after that will cost you 150 gems per reset, so build wisely.
If you're having a hard time choosing your masteries, I
recommend that you check out any guides and follow along. Once you gain enough
knowledge in the game, you can choose your own masteries to build. Until then,
it's better to follow a guide to avoid resetting and save your gems.
