GSC Game World: change of ownership
In the spring of 2023, Vitaliy Volochai, co-founder of
Maincast, publicly identified Krippa as an investor in GSC Game World, shedding
light on the behind-the-scenes developments within the renowned gaming studio.
This revelation hinted at potential shifts in the company's ownership
structure, setting the stage for subsequent changes.
By the end of September, a pivotal alteration occurred in
the final beneficiary status of GSC Game World, as evidenced by adjustments in
the registers. However, it wasn't until mid-November that media outlets caught
wind of this transformation. According to reports from a prominent Ukrainian tech publication, the beneficiary status of the studio, which
boasts operational entities in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, had transitioned
from Serhiy Grigorovich to Maxim Krippa.
This notable shift in ownership underscored a significant
chapter in GSC Game World's narrative, raising questions and speculation within
the gaming community about the potential implications for future projects and
creative endeavors emanating from the esteemed development house. Despite these
changes, assurances from the studio sought to quell concerns, emphasizing
continuity in its overarching vision and commitment to delivering immersive
gaming experiences cherished by fans worldwide.
