Recently, it was revealed that GSC Game World, the renowned developer behind beloved titles like Cossacks and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., has undergone a transition in ownership, with businessman Maxim Krippa taking the reins. Despite this change, the studio emphasizes that its core vision and creative direction remain steadfast, assuring fans that there have been no significant shifts in operations or philosophy.

In the spring of 2023, Vitaliy Volochai, co-founder of Maincast, publicly identified Krippa as an investor in GSC Game World, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes developments within the renowned gaming studio. This revelation hinted at potential shifts in the company's ownership structure, setting the stage for subsequent changes.

By the end of September, a pivotal alteration occurred in the final beneficiary status of GSC Game World, as evidenced by adjustments in the registers. However, it wasn't until mid-November that media outlets caught wind of this transformation. According to reports from a prominent Ukrainian tech publication, the beneficiary status of the studio, which boasts operational entities in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, had transitioned from Serhiy Grigorovich to Maxim Krippa.

This notable shift in ownership underscored a significant chapter in GSC Game World's narrative, raising questions and speculation within the gaming community about the potential implications for future projects and creative endeavors emanating from the esteemed development house. Maxim Tkachenko, the studio's community manager, revealed to the publication that their collaboration with Krippa commenced as far back as 2020, and during this period, no notable changes have occurred. Nevertheless, Tkachenko underscored the confidentiality surrounding the specifics of their arrangement, citing stringent non-disclosure agreements that govern the intricacies of their partnership's framework. This discretion reflects the studio's commitment to maintaining strategic confidentiality while navigating the dynamics of their collaboration with Krippa, emphasizing a culture of trust and professionalism in their business dealings.

Furthermore, Tkachenko underscored that the Grigorovich family continues to steer the helm of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. development studio, with Yevhen Grigorovich retaining his position as CEO.
