Anita Chukwumfumnaya Obidi, professionally known as Korra
Obidi, was born on June 23, 1991, in Oshimili North Local Government Area of
Delta State, Nigeria. She spent her childhood years in a strongly religious
Christian family that belonged to Deeper Christian Life Ministry together with
her sisters and her brother. Korra attended the Command Secondary School in Ojo
for her secondary education and graduated from the University of Lagos with a
Bachelor of Science in Business Education.
Career
Korra's artistic journey is multifaceted, encompassing
dance, music, acting, and modeling.
- Dance: Beginning her professional dance career in 2007,
Korra featured in a song by Nigerian rapper Sasha P. She received formal
training in belly dancing and classical Odissi in Cairo and Lagos under Priti
Mastakar. Her dynamic performances led to an AFRIMMA nomination for Best Dancer
in 2017. Notably, in 2019, she auditioned for the American dance competition
"So You Think You Can Dance" while six months pregnant, becoming the

Athena in March 2022. However, their marriage faced challenges, leading to
their divorce announcement shortly after Athena's birth, which was finalized in
November 2022. After are divorce she acquired a condo of 2 million dollars in
LA, along with an apartment on the Island in Nigeria, which she put for rentals
on Airbnb whenever she is not in Nigeria.
